On Saturdays in September 2026 the goods posted from the lot at 7701 East Main Street in Farmington included a washer and gas dryer at $300 for the pair, a set of tires at $300, a bathtub, and loaves of fresh bread. A motorcycle went up on October 4 with a plain description: “Asking $5000. It’s a 98 Dinah, wide glide.” Every Saturday there were snow cones and “fresh lemon aid,” as the market spelled it.
The Farmington Flea-Market calls itself the Original Farmington Flea Market and says local owners have held it for more than 43 years. Sellers bring yard-sale lots, crafts and new merchandise to “lots of buyers all in 1 place.” Through the autumn of 2026 its posts asked people to come out on Saturday or Sunday. One vendor puts logos on t-shirts, cups, pens, license plates and balloons. The market had its own pens made by him and thanked him by name: “Thank you Jason they look amazing!!!” By late September the page was urging shoppers to order Christmas gifts and stock up for winter. On October 5 it closed the season: “We will miss you for the winter. See you again next spring!!”
The older record is in the Farmington Daily Times. On May 6, 2000, a community notice placed a youth fund-raising yard sale “one half mile past the Farmington Flea Market.” The sale offered food, a car wash and a mountain bike raffled toward youth camp, and the notice used the market as a landmark. On July 27, 2008, the market’s own classified ran on a page with aspen firewood at $110 a cord and Shih Tzu puppies. It gave the location as the Farmington Aztec Highway, across from Farmington Lake, and the days as Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
