On March 14, 2026, no parking was permitted in downtown Sanger. The streets around 7th and N filled instead with booths, food trucks and show cars for the 37th Annual Blossom Days Fest and Car Show, a free one-day festival put on by the Sanger District Chamber of Commerce. The Mid Valley Times reported a bright sun that Saturday and said nearly every inch of pavement was lined with vendors, cars and crowds. “It gets people involved, and we need that in the community,” said Itziali Martinez, a local resident who came to the fair. “Getting involved with other people, getting together and just being one unit, it’s great.”

Four hundred cars on downtown pavement

The car show, sponsored by Webber Realty Group, is the festival’s largest draw. In 2026 it held nearly 400 cars from across the decades, among them Volkswagens, lowriders and modern Mopar. Mike Webber, who organized the show, said some entrants drove in from Monterey, Salinas and Bakersfield. “I have some goals and dreams to put on the finest car show in the Valley, and I think we’ve done that; to put Sanger on the map, and oh my gosh, we’ve done that,” Webber said. “I’m also so proud of our downtown businesses. I’ve talked to them, and they’ve had the best day of the year, and that really makes my heart so happy.”

Most of the day’s business wound down with the awards ceremony. Trophies went to the top three entries in each of several categories. The highest honor, Best of Show, went to Randall Roulund for his 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. After that the streets began to clear.

Lego, a beer garden, and landscape paintings

Earlier the same day, builders of all ages competed in the LEGO Masters contests presented by Webber Realty Group and Sanger Bible Church. Entrants were sorted by age and showed either custom builds or kit builds. After judging, members of the church handed the trophies to the winners on the main stage. Younger visitors also had a kids zone.

The Mid Valley Times described the 2026 beer garden in the mural square as new that year. It was open to those 21 and over, and The Shantel Band played there. Hideaway Bar Sanger ran it as a mobile bar garden. The Chamber’s listing for the 2025 festival had also named a beer garden, along with a spring art exhibit.

For food there were downtown restaurants, food trucks and pop-up vendors. Retail booths sold art, crafts and collectibles. Chieko Delgado, an artist who exhibits at the festival, paints country close to town. “My favorite theme is the local theme,” she said. “All of the landscape is from around here in the Sanger area, or national parks, so when people see my work, they go ‘Oh, I know this place, I know that place.’” The festival’s listing on FestivalNet gives one stage, 15 food booths, 25 exhibitors and an attendance of 3,000.

Orchards in bloom and a 10K

The Fresno County tourism office counts Blossom Days among the events of the Fresno County Blossom Trail. The trail opens in February, when the county’s almond, plum, apricot, peach, nectarine, apple and citrus orchards come into flower. The Chamber’s own pages show a Blossom Trail opening ceremony held in Sanger, a Blossom Bus tour that stopped for breakfast at Kings River Winery, and Julie Raymer as the trail’s 2025 poster artist.

The tourism office’s annual calendar describes an older version of the festival, held the first Saturday of March. It included arts and crafts, a car show, entertainment, a 10K that counted as a 30-point sanctioned race in a Runner of the Year series, a two-mile walk, a quarter-mile kids’ run, and a book sale and open house at the Sanger Library. The races and the library sale do not appear on the Chamber’s listings for 2025 or 2026. The 36th festival was held March 8, 2025, alongside the 18th Annual Webber Realty Car Show.

The Chamber describes itself as serving “the Nation’s Christmas Tree City since 1910.” The same office stages the Toyland Parade at 7th and N, which reached its 77th edition in December 2025. It also runs the Trek to the Nation’s Christmas Tree, held for the 100th time that month at the General Grant Tree in Kings Canyon National Park.

After the 37th

At the close of the 2026 festival, Chamber President and CEO Isaiah Lopez said the event had hosted a record number of vendors, and that future festivals might need a new location or a changed format. “I think we’re outgrowing downtown, and that makes me very excited for the future of Sanger,” Lopez said.

By summer the Chamber itself was changing. Its board announced that Lopez was no longer with the Chamber as of June 30, 2026. It said Mike Webber, Steve Stoehr and Tom Nicholson had left the board through “recent retirement, resignation and removal.” The office also left 1789 Jensen Avenue on July 1, 2026, after more than 39 years at that address. Chairman Mark Morales wrote that the Chamber would be reorganizing and planning its coming events. FestivalNet lists the next Blossom Days Fest for March 2027, with its dates not yet updated.
