- From I-5 Exit 227 at College Way: 3.6 miles to Highway 9 south, 2.3 miles to Big Lake Store, 1.4 miles to Walker Valley Road, 2.2 miles to Peter Burns Road, 1.4 miles to the gate, then .3 or .4 mile to Walker Valley Quarry.

- No permit or fee for hand collection.
- Access
- Park off the side of the road so as not to block traffic and walk around the gate; the collecting area is less than 250 feet from the gate. Display a valid Discover Pass for each vehicle or you may be ticketed as the quarry is on state property.

- Walk in around the gate; a Discover Pass is required for each vehicle.
