Keenesburg’s Oktoberfest is held on North Main Street, in the 140 block, and the Town of Keenesburg puts it on. The 2026 festival was set for Saturday, October 3, beginning at 4 p.m. The town’s master calendar gave it one line: “4p Oktoberfest 2026.” The town’s announcement opened “PROST, KEENESBURG! IT’S OKTOBERFEST TIME!” and asked residents to bring family and friends, “enjoy the fall festivities, and celebrate the season.” The event listing called it a chance “to meet your neighbors.” The town’s pages do not describe the program, the food, or the music.
Oktoberfest is one of four events the town lists as its own. The others are an Easter egg hunt, a July 3rd celebration, and Christmas in Keenesburg. In 2026 Oktoberfest followed a run of September chores and errands. A community-wide garage sale ran September 11 through 13, with maps of participating addresses handed out at the Town Administration Building. The annual Town Clean-Up followed on September 18 and 19 at the Town Shop on Lambert Street, where residents brought their water bills as proof of residency.
Keenesburg is a statutory town in Weld County, Colorado, on the I-76 corridor about 20 miles from Denver International Airport. The town speaks of its “agricultural traditions.” In August 2026 it promoted the Southeast Weld County Jr. Fair & Rodeo, four days of 4-H and FFA youth competition and rodeo. The town gives its motto as “Home of 500 Happy People and a Few Soreheads.” Its website puts the population at approximately 2,000, “despite our motto.”
