- From Salina: head south on State Street about 2 miles to I-70, east on I-70 about 6.5 miles, exit at Gooseberry Road (Exit 63), south on the two-lane paved Gooseberry Road #640 for 21.5 miles to the guard station on the right.

- No electricity, water, or sewer hookups; vault toilet adjacent; nearest dump station at Fish Lake or in Salina; no linens, bedding, or pillows; bring dishes, utensils, cooking pans, towels, water, and soap; pack out all trash; close all gates; seasonal access mid-June through October.
