Getting there
From Gunnison, head east on Hwy 50 up Monarch Pass. Watch for long turnout on the left (North Side of Hwy) 1/2 mile before you get to the Runaway Truck Ramp. If you see the Truck Ramp, turn around. From Salida, head west on Hwy 50 over Monarch Pass. On the way down the west side watch for Run Away Truck Ramp. 1/2 Mile past ramp is the long turn out.

Pure spring water right off Hwy 50 coming from metal pipe right out of hard rock. Nice, cold, and clear. Some lichen or moss grows in and around the pipe.
