Glendo Days takes over downtown Glendo for one day in June. The town calendar listed the 2026 edition, spelled “Glendo Dayz,” for June 27, running from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with the note “more info to come.” The town’s description of its year names a Glendo Days parade and sets it among the craft fairs, street dances, fishing tournaments, ranch rodeos, chariot races and fly-ins that fill Glendo’s calendar. The Glendo Days Committee organizes the celebration, and the town posted under that name in April 2026.

The date is not fixed. A town notice dated June 4, 2025, announced that year’s celebration for June 14. In 2026 the parade month opened with the Wyoming Walleye Governor’s Cup, scheduled for June 6 and 7 on Glendo Reservoir. The town is the entryway to Glendo State Park, and the Thomas Memorial fly-in followed in September.

In 2022 the celebration marked a hundred years. The Platte County Record-Times ran a story on June 27 of that year under the headline “Glendo Day celebrates 100 years since town’s incorporation.” Glendo was incorporated on May 20, 1922, and calls itself a community “small in number yet Big In Heart.” The California, Oregon and Mormon trails all passed south of the present town. By the town’s account, Glendo began as one of the first five telegraph stations of the Overland Stage Express, at the Horseshoe Stage Station, and settled where it stands when the railroad came through.
