- From the Town of Pinedale, Wyoming, head East on Highway 191 (East Pine Street) and make a left turn onto Fremont Lake Road, continue on the road for approximately 3 miles, turn left to stay on Fremont Lake Road, then take the following left onto Lower Fremont Lake South Road and Sandy Beach Swimming Area is the next right off of Lower Freemont Lake Loop Road.

Sandy Beach Picnic Area is located on the southeast shores of pristine Fremont Lake at an elevation of 7,400 feet, just 3 miles northeast of Pinedale, Wyoming. Water sports and fishing are popular activities.
