Monument gates 8:00 am - 4:00 pm daily, except Tuesdays when the Monument is closed for maintenance; vehicle entrance gate closes at 3:30 pm; vehicle exit gate and Interpretive Center close at 4:00pm.

2026 season: open 01 May 2026, last day of operation 30 September 2026, close 01 October 2026.
Getting there
The Monument is 25 miles east of Billings, Montana. It can be easily accessed from exit 23 of Interstate 94, or from State Highway 312.
Fees
Standard vehicles: $7 (1-6 passengers), $12 (7-25 passengers), $20 (26+ passengers); commercial/group vehicles: $25 (1-6 passengers), $40 (7-25 passengers), $100 (26+ passengers).
Access
Open during daylight hours only; when the vehicle gates are closed, including on Tuesdays, visitors may park outside the gates and walk-in during daylight hours.
