The Musselshell County Fairgrounds lie along 4-H Road in Roundup: a rodeo arena and a roping arena, livestock barns and stock pens, a hall called the Upper Quonset, the 4-H Building, a baseball field, the Cow Bells Corral, and a grandstand with a concession stand underneath. The county manages the grounds. At the edge is the Cow Belles Campground, which county papers also spell Cow Bells. It is open to the public for picnicking and overnight camping. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the speed limit through the camp is 15 miles an hour. The restrooms open with warm weather, usually from mid to late May until early or mid September. The county shuts off the water on October 8, and that closes the comfort stations. A donation post for upkeep stands at the west entrance.

The fair on these grounds belongs to the 4-H and FFA youth of Musselshell and Golden Valley counties. The City of Roundup lists five active 4-H clubs across the two counties: Goulding Creek, Signe Cougars, Peppy, Broken Arrow, and Broadview Homesteaders. In 2026 the members showed horses, dogs, goats, sheep, swine, beef, and small animals, and competed in shooting sports. Cloverbud activities and a quiz bowl were held for the younger children. In the large animal round robin, exhibitors competed in showmanship with species other than their own. The week closed with the market livestock sale, on Saturday, August 1, at 10 a.m. A photographer covered the shows, and the fair made all pictures free to download through Double J Media. Results and photographs went up on the fair’s page through August. The prize buckles arrived on September 1.

The Roundup Record Tribune printed fair photographs on August 25, 2021: Abigail Olson with her pocket pet, Russ Lang with his dog, Charlee Shaw with her cat, Tyeson Gravenhof with his market steer, and Callie Beckett with her market swine.
