- Getting there
- From Boise, take Interstate 84 West to the Nampa exit for Highway 55 (Exit 33A). Follow Highway 55 through Marsing and on to the junction with US-95. Continue 1 mile past the junction and turn left onto Cemetery Road. Cemetery Road will dead end at a T-intersection, turn left at the T onto Jump Creek Road.

- Be careful - Poison ivy grows thick in some spots along the creek and trail. The road to the recreation area is a public route through private property; follow signage and respect private property.

Jump Creek features a surprising waterfall and lush riparian community filled with water birch and red osier dogwood trees. Visitors can hike the easy Jump Creek Falls Trail, walk to the Falls Overlook or picnic near the rock crevices and meandering stream. Swimmers can enjoy a refreshing dip at the base of the falls.

- Bill Jump, early prospector and miner who made a homestead along the creek about a mile below the falls; the creek's namesake.
