The farmstand at Irey Acres Farm sells what the farm makes: raw goat milk, raw goat milk yogurt and cheese, sourdough bread, local homemade jams, and vegetables from the market garden. In June 2026 the farm announced on Instagram that the stand would be open Saturday the 20th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It also posted raw milk at $10 a half gallon, for pickup at the farm. “Our girls are producing more than ever,” the post said.
Goats, chickens, and a new orchard
The girls are the dairy herd of nearly 45 goats. By August 2026 the family was milking eight a day and getting plenty of milk to make yogurt, cheese, and soap. Almost 30 chickens and turkeys share the ground, and the chickens are fed microgreens. “Chicken eggs are best when chickens eat microgreens!!” one post declared. In May 2026 a neighbor finished building a mineral feeder for the goats, and the farm reported that they went right up to it and started feeding. Beyond the animals lie the market garden and a 1.5-acre orchard, and the family is working toward organic certification.
Visitors come between March and October. The state agritourism directory lists farm tours, u-pick, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch, farm-to-table events, and Baby Animal Days. Dan Irey is listed as owner. The farm states its purpose as “benefiting the community with healthy harvests and living well through regenerative agriculture, agritourism, and market gardening best practices.”
Plymouth is a Box Elder County town of 427 people at the 2020 census. It sits at 4,469 feet with Gunsight Peak behind it. It was founded in 1869 and named for Plymouth Rock.
Microgreens and a shop off 21st Street
The Ireys began in 2020, selling microgreens at the Ogden Farmers Market and growing them on rented land. They moved from an outdoor garden to an indoor farm with a commercial kitchen. After two years they had built a smoothie, salad, and quinoa bowl shop off 21st Street in Ogden. It was stocked from local farmers and vendors, and with their own microgreens. “We wanted to provide the local Ogden community with healthier food,” their directory account says. All the while they were looking for a plot of their own, and they closed the shop to wait until they found one.
A tent, a shed, an RV trailer
In February 2022 they bought 3.7 acres in Plymouth. In August 2022 they moved onto the lot with five children. They lived in a tent for two weeks until a shed and an RV trailer arrived, then lived in the trailer and the shed for two years. The house was finished in March 2025. “It has been an incredible experience and we look forward to the years ahead!” Dan Irey wrote. In April 2026 the farm posted that its hay and tool shed was done: “we’re building and planting our orchard now!”
