Breakfast, parade, and the Bump and Run
The day starts with breakfast. In the 2024 program, the Circle Volunteer Fire Department served it in the CCM banquet room from 7 to 9 a.m. The Visit Montana listing pairs that breakfast with a morning run. At 9 a.m. the parade lined up on Main Street, and at 10 it stepped off.
After the parade, downtown Circle opened its sidewalk sales and farmers market. The Cinema offered yard games from 11 a.m. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a gallery shoot ran at the Memorial Building Indoor Range. Upstairs from the range, so to speak, the Memorial Building also held lunch: the Eastern Montana Gymnastics Club sold traveling tacos there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The senior center put out desserts and quilts from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bingo ran at the VFW from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. From 1 to 5 p.m. the McCone County Museum was free, with its newly refurbished train depot, new displays, and other improvements on view.
At 2 p.m. the program moved out to the Circle race track for the Bump and Run. Visit Montana lists these races among the day’s highlights, along with the community barbecue and the evening’s live music. Its listing also mentions local sports and family activities throughout the day.
Barbecue at the electric garage, dance at the VFW
The Town and Country Day Barbecue was set for 5:30 p.m. in the McCone Electric Garage in 2024. Local businesses contributed to the meal: Redwater Valley Bank, Farmers Union Oil, McCone Electric, Mid-Rivers, and Grasslands Federal Credit Union. At 9 p.m. the band Sideways began a dance at the Circle VFW Hall. Visit Montana gives the day’s hours as 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. and calls the event the community’s biggest annual celebration.
The Circle Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture organizes the day and keeps it on a calendar that runs through the year. After Town & Country Day, the 2026–27 schedule lists an arts, crafts, and home demonstration show, Santa Day, a Christmas open house, and a chamber banquet in January. Summer brings Garage Sale Day, the Fourth of July fireworks, and Brockway Dairy Day with its kid rodeo, Calcutta, and rodeo. The county fair and the McCone County PRCA Rodeo follow in August.
Saturday, September 19, 2026
The chamber’s calendar set the 2026 edition for Saturday, September 19. Two days ahead, the chamber’s page thanked Circle Public Schools for showing its support and announced the parade theme, “All-American.” On the day itself, the chamber posted from the bingo tables: “bingo at the vets club - packed house.” Later that day it posted another notice: “Corn hole tournament is cancelled due to the weather.”
