Approximately 7 miles north of Pinedale, and just a short hike from Fremont Campground is Sylvan Bay. This day use area provides quiet little beach and a vaulted toilet.

  1. 1837Artist Alfred Jacob Miller accompanied Stewart and painted the first pictures of the area, including the mountain lakes that inspired them. hmdb.org
