- Use the operator's printed north and south maps rather than Google Maps; cell service does not cover the area. Nasty Flat is dry-weather only and requires good tires.

- 50% of the wholesale value of better colored stones and clear stones that will cut over 8 carats; unusable portions deducted. Most of what you find is free.
- Access
- Mine reached by at least 20 miles of gravel road; bring a full-size spare tire. Camp trailers take reservations; on-site facilities are pit toilets only.
